Insurance, Visa and Health
It is strongly recommended that participants have an insurance to cover losses incurred in case of cancellation, medical expenses, damage, or loss of personal effects. The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents and loss or damage to private property of the participants and accompanying person.
Brazil has an agreement with many countries, whose citizens are not required to present a VISA. Following the principle of reciprocity, citizens from China, India, Canada, Japan, etc should apply for VISA at the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in their countries. An official letter of invitation to obtain a VISA will be issued only after the participant registration and full payment have been received. Vaccinations are not required unless you are from countries with cases of yellow fever. You will need no other health certificate to enter Brazil.
Strict quarantine rules apply to importation of animals and plants that cannot be brought to Brazil without prior application.
